On the 29th of June, 2021, the Autonomous Vehicles, Autotronics and Control (AVAC) unit
of the Advanced Engineering Innovation Research Group (AEIRG) successfully conducted the
testing of a prototype vehicle developed by the unit. The unit leader, Engr. J. A. Bala
and the team worked in collaboration with Meczy Group under the supervision and guidance
of the Principal Researcher of AEIRG, Prof. A. M. Aibinu towards the successful
development of this prototype. This marks the first phase of the project which is geared
towards a Clean Energy Powered Autonomous Vehicle. Our profound appreciation goes to the
Principal Researcher of AEIRG, Prof. A. M. Aibinu, Meczy Group, and our team members for
their commitment towards the success of this work. We also want to thank the Vice
Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria, Prof. Abdullahi Bala and
the management of the university for their continuous support of our research activities
