- Dr. Nabilah Ramli
Dr. Nabilah Ramli, had her first degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM),
where she also started her career as an academician in 2005. She thereafter obtained her Master
degree from the prestigious Universiti teknologi Malaysia (UTM) . She also holds a PhD degree from,
University of Southampton.
Nabilah Ramli holds a Ph.D. in Vibration and has more than 7 years' experience working with
undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop award-winning engineering-based prototypes. She
has led an Engineering Capstone Design class since 2014, which combined her passion for
technopreneurship and education.
Dr Nabilah has held and currently holds various position within and outside IIUM, in terms of
research and collaboration. She is currently the Head of the office of Internalization and Global
Network in IIUM, where she is responsible for facilitating collaboration agreements between industry
partners, research institutes and other higher learning institutions, with the Kulliyyah of
Engineering. It is also the point of reference for mobility activities, inbound and outbound for
staffs and students, both postgraduate and undergraduate level
- Muhamad Shirwan Abdullah Sani
Muhamad Shirwan Abdullah Sani obtained his PhD in Halal Products Science from Universiti Putra
Malaysia. He was appointed as a registered chemist of Department of Chemistry, Ministry of
Science, Technology and Innovation between 2006-2013.
Presently, he serves as a registered chemist of Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (L/1643/5200/07)
and Head of Laboratories for International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART) for
three years, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His research focuses on the method
development for halal authentication, development of new halal ingredient, and development
of food preservatives from plant sources. His research brings the new avenue of detection of
nonhalal
contaminants via multivariate data analysis and assists INHART in providing halal testing to
the stakeholders. His research funded by the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme from the
Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and Islamic Development Bank, Saudi Arabia has produced
